Design by committee

Most larger establishments form committees to design their website. We recommend against this, for the love of all things holy do not form a committee for your web design. Here is why: each member of a committee, including yourself, have unique tastes and personalities. This detrimental decision leads to negative directions, destroying fantastic designs that provide usability and accessibility.

Committees have a hard time putting the business ideals in front of personal tastes. With that said, good websites comes from motivated people with ideas that know how their company should look, work, and be represented online.
